The map at right shows our route for the entire 5,700-mile trip.

Going to Wisconsin, we stayed on I-80 from CA to NV, UT, WY, NE, and IA, and then turned north and east via MN to Necedah.

From Necedah, we headed to Petoskey, Michigan, to rendezvous with the Saurs and our friends Robin, Nancy, and Jack.

On the homeward trip, we stayed north through WI and MN, and then visited the Black Hills region in SD and Devils Tower in WY.

We'd planned to drive south to Colorado, but forecasts of deep snow rerouted us to Flaming Gorge and Dinosaur National Monument in northeast UT.
