MODERN MASTERS This is the story of Geno, the master Birdfeeder Builder, and his most successful (i.e., only) birdfeeder project to date. Geno has a somewhat checkered history of using store-bought birdfeeders, so he has decided to make his own unique feeder. Most folks would call this a last-ditch effort, but Geno the MBB is actually a proud craftsman, albeit with more time than money available. |

Note the fine construction of his handmade feeder in the photo above. The feeder itself is a favorite Gatorade container. The perches are created from fallen mesquite twigs, an elegant and environmentally friendly feature. Pure Elmer's Glue holds the perches together. The hanger is formed from an attractive, natural string. After careful thought, planning, and design, Geno the MBB hangs his birdfeeder on the great mesquite tree with much hope and expectation. The feeder is positioned only 10 feet from the MBB's (and Mrs. MBB's) trailer, assuring front-row viewing and close monitoring at all hours. |

Will the birds come? Will a squirrel destroy the feeder?
Are the seeds the right type?
So many questions, so Geno the MBB sits and watches and waits. This master builder may have way too much time on his hands.... |

| SUCCESS!
The birds find the feeder and keep coming to feed all day long.....house finches, white-crowned sparrows, cactus wrens, black-throated sparrows, and golden eagle. Well, not that last one. Geno the Master Birdfeeder Builder thrills in his victory and starts planning his next masterful creation..... |
