| Maryhill, Washington, is named for Mary Hill, the name of Samuel Hill's wife and daughter. Unfortunately, wife Mary refused to leave the comfort of her Midwest home and never came out west. Meanwhile, Sam busied himself with building monumental structures, cultivating ranchlands, and inspiring the Good Roads of the Northwest. | |
